Alex Stefan
Alex has been working in residential real estate as a full-time Realtor since 1993. He joined RE/MAX in 1996. Licensed in Maryland and Virginia and having lived in both states, he is equally familiar with the real estate market in these two major jurisdictions of greater Washington. Alex is recognized professionally as one of the most experienced, well-educated and ethical Realtors in the area. He has earned three RE/MAX Gold Club awards, four RE/MAX Platinum Club titles and the Chairmans Club designation, the very top honor for RE/MAX associates.
Alex has a Masters degree in linguistics (Moscow Russia), and an extensive working experience in journalism, publishing and economics. He is also an accomplished award-winning photo artist. In 1999, Alex Stefan and Helena Pulyaeva formed the now locally prominent real estate duo the DO IT DUET.
Helena Pulyaeva
Helena Pulyaeva joined RE/MAX in 1999, partnering from day one with Alex Stefan. She holds a Certified Buyer Agent Representative designation, the Gold Club and several Platinum Club awards, as well as the very top Chairmans Club title. She is known and respected in the local real estate community as one the best buyer agents in the area. She also has a considerable experience in investment real estate. Helena is licensed in Maryland and Washington D.C.
Helena came to the U.S. in 1990 as a guest scientist. A Ph.D. in biology, Helena was a successful research scientist of many years at NIH, Georgetown University and the private sector. She is also experienced in high-end residential design and decoration (her kitchen design project won 1st place award in a national industry contest in 2004).

Unlike most agents, we never ask a buyer to sign an Exclusive Buyer Representation Agreement upfront that would force the buyer to work exclusively with us for a predetermined period of time. We believe that agent-client relationship should be based on trust, loyalty, honesty and free will. The vast majority of clients stay loyal to us through the buying or selling process, and, moreover, return to us later for other real estate needs such as selling or buying other properties, and refer to us friends and relatives.
